Karen Mogesten

Enjoy a visit to the beautiful Karen Mogesten Nature Reserve, which offers a nature walk where you can observe countless species of wildlife, plants and trees. On the way to the Velo de la Novia waterfall, you cross a river with many natural pools with crystal clear water, inviting you to refresh yourself.

Isla San Lucas

We offer you a boat trip to the island of San Lucas, famous for being a former prison; it operated between 1873 and 1991. After its closure, it was established as a wildlife refuge and later as a national park. In the jungle surrounding the prison you can see several species of birds and meet white-tailed deer, armadillos and anteaters.

Isla Tortuga

Located off the southeastern coast of the Nicoya Peninsula, Tortuga is known for its white sand and turquoise water that acts as an invitation to water activities of all kinds. The island can only be visited by boat and you can stay there from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Although it offers no accommodation, it is a day trip that everyone will want to repeat. Options are offered to everyone, as the island can be a destination for relaxation as well as for physical activities, such as snorkelling, kayaking, nature walks and even more challenging ones, such as a jet ski, banana boat, paddleboard, kayak or beach volleyball.

Curu

The Curu Nature Reserve is located on the Nicoya Peninsula. It is a private reserve with a total area of 1,496 hectares of tropical forest, mangroves and fields along the coast. There is the beautiful sandy beach of Playa Curu, where swimming in the sea is a real treat. The park has a total of 6 different walking routes ranging from the easiest to a route for the really challenging. This place stands out for its abundance of fauna and flora. So far, scientists have identified 78 separate species of mammals, 232 different species of birds, 87 species of reptiles and more than 500 species of plants.

Montezuma

It is a small coastal town at the furthest tip of the Nicoya Peninsula, where jungle and mountains touch the Pacific coast. Montezuma is known for its relaxed atmosphere, nearby waterfalls and butterfly garden. There are also several bars and restaurants right on the beach. At Montezuma you can find some of the most beautiful beaches on the Nicoya Peninsula, also suitable for surfing.

Playa Muertos

Playa Muertos je panenskou destinací velké krásy. Nachází se na poloostrově Nicoya, mezi Paquerou a Tamborem, prakticky za mangrovem Pochote.Je známé svým bílým pískem, křišťálově čistou a tyrkysovou vodou, navíc je to místo obklopené palmami a stromy, které poskytují dokonalý stín. Jeho vlny jsou mírné vhodné pro plavání a šnorchlování. Můžete zde relaxovat celý den.

Whether you're planning a wedding, honeymoon, birthday or anniversary, or celebrating other life achievements, our Playa Leona resort is the right choice. We offer accommodation for 18 people (we can increase the capacity up to 27 people by special arrangement). The ceremony can take place on the beach or in a specially prepared venue overlooking the ocean and adjacent islands.

You can coordinate with the team of our La Tortuga restaurante to have a menu prepared according to your choice and wishes. The restaurant seats a maximum of 50 guests. We will help you with catering, decoration and preparation of the ceremony.

    We are a small beach resort offering accommodation in 9 bungalows with beautiful ocean or jungle views. We are located in Costa Rica in Central America, specifically on the Nicoya Peninsula, about 5 minutes from the dock of the Puntarenas – Playa Naranjo ferry.
